Processing and Shipping

Processing

Please allow 1 to 2 days to process orders that are to be shipped and up to 1 day for in-store pick-up.

Shipping

We ship across North America. Shipping costs are calculated via Canada Post. Shipping times depend on location and can vary greatly. Canada Post gives an estimate to when parcels should arrive but are not exact. Please factor in processing times and any shipping delays that may occur unexpectedly.

Prices are Subject to Change

Prices are subject to change without notice at any time. Current prices on our website override all other listed prices in store.

Return and Exchanges

We accept unopened items in the original packaging within 14 days of your purchase with receipt or proof of purchase. Unfortunately, if 14 days or more have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer you a refund or an exchange.

Upon receipt of the returned item, we will thoroughly examine it, and it is up to our discretion whether you are entitled to a return or not. If you are entitled to a return, we will refund your purchase price, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method.

Refunds do not include any shipping and handling charges shown on the packaging slip or invoice. Shipping charges for all returns must be prepaid and insured by you. You are responsible for any loss or damage during shipment. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.

Workshop Cancellations/Refunds

Cancellations are accepted up to 7 days before the first workshop date, and all cancellations are subject to a $50 administration fee. Cancellations made 6 days or less before the workshop will not be refunded. Once a workshop has begun, refunds will not be processed. We are a small business and must fill all spots in each class to pay our teachers and supply all materials and equipment to our students.

Membership / 10-Pack Refunds

Memberships are available for registration. Upon registering for a membership, you will be charged for your first month (+ taxes) and charged again each 30 days. New memberships have a minimum 3 month commitment before they can be cancelled (which can be done after the 3 month period in your membership Portal. Memberships are non-transferable.

Open Studio 10-Packs are NON-refundable, nor can they be exchanged for other goods and services at The Clay Warehouse.

Workshops & COVID Regulations

We understand that government regulations change from time to time during a pandemic. As long as we are not mandated to cancel a workshop entirely, we will hold it with the highest safety standards in place. If something changes and you decide not to take the workshop, we will offer a refund and process a $50 administration fee as long as the cancellation is made up to 7 days before the first workshop date. If workshops are mandated closed by the provincial government, and we cannot host the workshop, a full refund will be offered, as this factor would be out of your control.

Workshops & Make-up Classes

We plan our class dates far in advance to provide adequate notice for you to plan your schedule around our workshops. We ask that future students registering for our classes commit to all class dates. We understand that life happens, and we do allow for one free make-up session. Make-up sessions are intended for students to catch up on missed class time and are not supervised by the teacher. One Day Workshops do not qualify for make-up sessions.

Workshops : What to Wear

  • Wearing long nails & rings – it's best to keep your nails short; long nails make it difficult to throw clay on the potter's wheel. Also, take into consideration any rings or jewelry; if you can remove any rings, it's best to do so
  • Clothing/Shoes - Playing with clay is not about looking your best; it's about getting dirty, enjoying yourself, and crafting a unique work of art. Ensure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. Clay can be washed out of clothing; Shoes may get dirty, an old pair of comfortable shoes work best. Bring an apron if you have one.
  • Bring a hand towel with you; You will need to wipe your hands from time to time. You will also be wiping clay off things you swear you never touched. It will also help you with the cleanup

Community Kiln Firing & Class item pickup

Items can be retrieved from classes & community firings during regular business hours. Our kiln firing for classes and community firing drop off is one week. Peak times such as spring and winter may take up to two weeks for your work to get fired.

**If items are not retrieved within 14 days of your last class or from drop off date for community firing, they will be subject to disposal by The Clay Warehouse**

Open Studio Booking Cancellations

We understand that things come up and that you may have to cancel your open studio session. This can be done through the Membership Portal.

Dogs in the Warehouse

We are a dog friendly store! You're welcome to bring your four legged friend to join you during your open studio session, or while browsing the store! We ask that dogs who are brought to the warehouse are potty trained and well mannered. We retain the right to turn away dogs in our store if we deem it necessary.

If you are in a class and are wanting to bring your dog please send us an email at info@theclaywarehouse.ca and we can chat about it. We want our space to feel safe to all so please respect our policy and do not bring your dog during a workshop without clearing it with us first.
